Messages from the Principal
October 03, 2008
Dear Parents/Guardians:
We have several students arriving at school too early. Your child is not permitted at school prior to 8:15 AM. If the students arrive at school prior to 8:15 AM, we do not have any supervision for them. At 8:15 AM students are allowed to enter the gym, where they wait to be dismissed to their classroom at 8:30. School starts at 8:45 AM.
Homework
You
may pick up any requested homework at the front office between the
hours of 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Please remember to pick up any work
requested.
Traffic Flow in the
AM:
Only buses and
staff are to use the entrance on Dartmouth between the hours of 8
and 9 A.M. All other traffic should use the entrance on
Matthew between the hours of 8 and 9 A.M. If you need to park
and come into the building, please use any open parking space
available. If parking spaces are unavailable, make the loop
and park on the street. This plan will insure pedestrian
safety and minimize opportunities for car and pedestrian
accidents. Please consider your fellow drivers and yield the
right-of-way when appropriate.
Traffic Flow in the
PM:
Only
buses and staff are to use the entrance on Dartmouth between the
hours of 3 and 4 P.M. All other traffic should use the
entrance on Matthew between the hours of 3 and 4 P.M. If you
are picking up a child, feel free to park in any available parking
space. If open spaces do not exist, please make the loop and
park on the street. Please use marked spaces only.
Do not use grassy
areas as parking spots. Parking in these areas limits
visibility for car traffic and pedestrians. This plan will
insure pedestrian safety and minimize opportunities for car and
pedestrian accidents.
The Stanford 10 Tests

O’Fallon District 90
Annual Softball Tournament:
Come out and
cheer on the teachers and staff from your school on October 15,
2008, at 4:45pm, located at Fulton Jr High.
Lunchroom Star of the
Table Program
We are once
again this year rewarding those students and classes that exhibit
good behavior in the cafeteria during lunch. Every
other week, a winning table from each class will be awarded a prize
for its good behavior. The class that best
follows the rules and shows respect to fellow classmates each day
during the two week period will win. In addition, one student
from every class will be designated the "Star of the Table" for
that week. Each Star will also receive a reward.
Safety: A
Reminder
All
parents, volunteers and visitors must sign in at the office. The
instructional day begins at 8:45 a.m., and all parents and visitors
must vacate the classroom area at that time so instruction may
begin. If you desire a conference with a staff member please set up
an appointment, e-mail, or send written communication to facilitate
a meeting. Those serving in a volunteer capacity should remain in
the designated area they are working in. These steps are important
to maintain a safe and productive learning
environment.
